Bemus Bay Water Toys offers kayak, paddleboard, and water toy rentals right on the Bemus Point waterfront. A good starting point for getting out on Lake Chautauqua at your own pace.
A lakeside golf course and tap house on Main Street in Bemus Point, open year-round. Play a round, then stop in for something from the kitchen and a drink. A good spot for a morning round or a late-afternoon gathering.
One of the oldest continuously operating ferries in North America, the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry has been carrying passengers across Lake Chautauqua since the 1870s. It’s a short, scenic crossing between the villages of Bemus Point and Stow, and a well-known part of the Lake Chautauqua experience.
The Lawson Center is a nationally recognized small craft boat museum and community gathering space on the shores of Lake Chautauqua in Bemus Point. It holds a collection of historic wooden boats and small watercraft, open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
One Fine Day Boat Charter offers private lake cruises departing from Long Point State Park, available for sightseeing, special occasions, sunset cruises, and group outings. Contact Captain Paul directly for scheduling.

Labor Day weekend was made for Bemus Point. 🌊
Labor Day weekend is September 5th through 7th and this is the one you do not skip. The last long weekend of summer on Chautauqua Lake. Four nights. Three full days. The village fully alive with people who refuse to let the season end quietly.
Friday dinner at one of the many unique local restaurants. Saturday on the water with your pontoon from Bemus Bay Water Toys with nowhere to be. Sunday golden hour that stretches longer than it should satisfying your sweet tooth with ice cream from Bemus Point Market. Monday morning breakfast at Bemus Point Inn because you earned one more morning before you head home.
The lake is still warm. The restaurants are still open. The village is still doing exactly what it does all summer.

Bemus Point has had a library since 1908.

The Bemus Point Public Library on Main Street is one of those places that quietly holds a community together. Free WiFi. Public computers. Audiobooks and digital downloads. Story time for young readers. A warm space in the heart of the village that genuinely welcomes everyone who walks through the door.
And every summer the library teams up with Bemus Point Market to run a reading program where kids earn a free Perry’s ice cream cone just for reading books. The library and the market. Two village institutions working together to make this community better for the families who live and visit here.
