Summer Fest is back in Bemus Point for a full weekend of food, music, shopping, and community fun. Mark your calendars for August 2nd and 3rd and plan to spend the weekend in the village.
The fan-favorite Bemus Point Treasure Hunt returns this year, sending participants on a pirate-themed adventure through the village. The Summer Fest Party in the Park, hosted by The Village Casino, brings live music, a beer tent, and chicken wings to the waterfront. Over at the Bemus Point Golf Club & Tap House, BBQ in Bemus features a Green Egg Fest in partnership with Stone & Outdoor Living Center.
The weekend also includes village-wide shopping and dining specials, The Lawson Center’s Deck Sale, and the Bemus Point Historical Society’s Annual Yard Sale, with more events still to be announced.

Bemus Point Inn Restaurant has been a favorite breakfast and brunch stop in the village for generations, and locals will absolutely tell you the same thing, get there hungry.
Their giant cinnamon rolls are legendary, and yes, the “sweetest buns in town” slogan has been around forever for a reason. One roll easily becomes a table decision.

Something BIG is coming to Chautauqua Lake for the 4th of July!
We’re excited to officially announce a special America 250 collaboration between Visit Bemus Point and the Village of Mayville for Saturday, July 4, 2026.
This year, both communities will launch music-synchronized fireworks displays across Chautauqua Lake in partnership with Skylighters of New York and Kix Country.
Visitors in each community will be able to tune into Kix Country to hear patriotic music timed to their local fireworks show, creating a lake-wide celebration for America’s 250th anniversary.
As part of the celebration, Bemus Point is also expanding its traditional fireworks display into an extended 25 minute show!
We’ll be sharing additional details so make sure to mark yourself as “Interested” or “Going” on the official facebook event page and invite your friends!

The Bemus Point Farmers & Artisans Market is back for its second season, setting up right in Sunset Park along the shores of Chautauqua Lake. Every Friday from 9AM-3PM, May 29th through Labor Day weekend.
Fresh produce. Handmade goods. Local bakers. Artisans. Flowers. Sourdough bread. All of it lakeside with one of the best views in Western New York behind you.
This is the kind of Friday morning that turns into an entire day, and honestly, that’s the point.

5 Tips for the Perfect Lake Life Escape. 📍 Bemus Point Edition.
Save this. You’re going to want it later. ☀️
1️⃣ Ride the Bemus Point-Stow Ferry.
This is not optional. One of the only cable-guided ferries left in the country, crossing Chautauqua Lake since 1811. It runs Friday evenings and weekends all summer starting Memorial Day weekend. It’s free, just bring a donation and your camera. Bonus points if you catch it at golden hour. 🌅
2️⃣ Eat somewhere that makes you stop and say, “Wait… how is this place real?”
Guppy`s Restaurant and Tavern for the Stromboli, Fish Tacos, and a gondola seat if you can grab one. Then make your way to The Green Door Tavern for what many locals will tell you are the best wings in town. Try the famous Feegan’s Medium Brown Sugar or Tom’s Original Trail sauce. Seriously. Both are local legends for a reason. 🍗
3️⃣ Find your sunset spot and stay awhile.
The docks. The patio at EBC Chautauqua or Splash. The Landing at BPT. Claim your spot by 7 PM and just take it in. Chautauqua Lake sunsets are the kind that make people come back year after year.
4️⃣ Walk the whole village strip. All of it.
Local boutiques. Ice cream stops. Hidden gems tucked all along Main Street. You’ll probably leave with shopping bags, a coffee in hand, and plans to come back tomorrow.
5️⃣ Book your next trip before you leave.
Everyone says the same thing after their first weekend in Bemus Point: “We should’ve stayed longer.” Summer on Chautauqua Lake is not a one time thing. It’s a lifestyle.
